Welcome to The Gloam:

Each week, students across our programs step into classic stories—
some to play, some to solve puzzles, and some to perform.

From first imaginative play to ensemble storytelling, The Gloam offers a structured path into the core skills of theater—without spotlight pressure or competition.

“The techniques used by the story teller encouraged working together and listening to solve the puzzles presented in the narrative. Well done!”

-Pilot Parent

What is the gloam?

The Gloam is a small-group theater studio built around the life cycle of a performer.

  • Young children begin by learning to imagine and play

  • Older students learn to listen, respond, and work as an ensemble inside a story

  • Advanced students bring those stories to life for others

Each stage builds toward the same goal:
presence, connection, and truthful participation in a shared world.

We are book-devourers

We are story-lovers

We are puzzle-solvers

We are collaborative performers

We are friend-seekers

Who We Are

We come together in the Gloam Keeper’s Room to ask questions, solve puzzles, rehearse, and build stories together.

Across programs, students learn to:

  • use their bodies and voices

  • listen and respond in the moment

  • support one another in a shared world

  • and bring stories to life

What We Do

Old stories carry old wisdom.

In a noisy world, we create a structured place to practice attention, imagination, and ensemble work—through stories that ask us to become more than we are.
